My name is Lena and one of my passions in my life is photography. There is nothing I love more than capturing that special moment and freezing it in time. My love of photography began at a very early age, and has not stopped since. In high school, I was a photographer for the school newspaper and for the yearbook. During my college years I focused on my studies, however, this did not stop me from pursuing my love of photography. Since then I have had the opportunity to shoot professional baseball games for the Houston Astros, have had work published in local magazines, and even have had my photos published in a textbook. I am so thankful for the wonderful opportunities that my passion has brought me, and can't wait to see where the future takes me.

When I don't have a camera in my hand (which is rare), you will usually find me on a softball field. I had the opportunity to play NCAA fastpitch softball for the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. I now play slowpitch softball on a few competitive teams, as well as play the occasional tournament on weekends that I'm not shooting weddings. Other than that, I love spending time with my amazing husband, Nathanial. We love to jump on our motorcycles and go for a ride out in the county. We met in 2010, and tied the knot back in November of 2015 in our favorite city, New Orleans. On February 25th, 2017, we welcomed a perfect baby girl into our lives. We are beyond blessed.

I am originally from Wisconsin, but moved down to Texas and instantly fell in love with the state. I currently have degrees in recreation therapy and occupational therapy assistant.  My plans are to complete the master's degree bridge program in occupational therapy, and eventually open a non-profit photography organization for people with disabilities.

EXPERIENCE: I have been doing photography for 15 years, and have been in business for 6 years. I constantly try to stay up to date on the most recent technology and techniques, in order to best serve my clients.

PRICE: Some portrait photographers will charge around $1,000 for one shoot when all is said and done. Some wedding photographers with the same or less quality will charge you an average of $3000 to $5000. My lower price point is something I am very comfortable with, and I do not rely solely on photography to make a living. Therefore, there is a lower price tag, but certainly not lower quality for the price.

EQUIPMENT: Having a creative vision is a very large part of capturing some amazing photographs, but having the best quality equipment DOES matter. My cameras, lenses, external flashes, etc are all professional grade, which allows me to capture images in even the most difficult lighting situations.
